Only two more trends left in my High Point trend review!  So what’s next?  Hello, pattern!!

Geometrics, ikat and animal prints remained strong …

… but were often softened by pairings with florals or patterns taken straight from handwoven kilim tribal rugs.

It makes for an interesting mix, doesn’t it?  It’s the earthy paired with the glam, the modern paired with the rustic … which gives the whole space a cool, eclectic vibe – like an interior that has been put together over time rather than found in a “buy the room” type store.

Hickory Chair introduced an exclusive fabric collection from Hable Construction.  As a long time fan of the Hable girls (who else wants their entire holiday collection from Garnet Hill?), I was excited to see that they had partnered with Hickory Chair.  Hickory Chair already had a great selection of fabrics, but the Hable fabrics bring a fresh, modern feel.  My favorite is the cream tone-on-tone print on the tightback sofa.  Does it remind you of an abstract alligator print?  Maybe it’s just me and my crazy-for-animal-prints self.  Regardless, it’s a subtle and beautiful way to introduce some pattern (and interest) into an otherwise neutral palette.

Will you be incorporating any new patterns into your home this fall?
