With over 100 designers and design bloggers (and at least as many cameras!) in attendance at Blogfest 2011, a girl had to be well-dressed. I love fashion, but let’s be real — I spend my days in furniture and fabric showrooms or on construction sites … so I am not as well-versed in what the mall has to offer as I would like to be. (I miss the mall … and it misses me!) Plus, planning a wardrobe for our schedule was not exactly easy. I wanted to be dressed to the nines — but my clothes needed to go from day to night (no time to change!) and my shoes needed to be fabulous yet comfortable.
So what’s a girl to do? With the crazy schedule I’ve been keeping, I knew I didn’t have time to do this alone … and it was time to call in the big guns — Maureen with Wardrobe Wonders. (Of course, it is kind of hilarious to call Maureen the big guns because she’s super tiny!) I’ve worked with Maureen in the past, but she now lives in Mississippi for her husband’s job. Never fear, though, because Maureen has become a well-versed Internet shopper and is willing to work long distance with clients.
And here’s what we came up with! Of course, I already had several of these pieces so I came up with “lookalikes” to show you the ensembles that Maureen created. She has an amazing ability to work with pieces you have, find new additions to fill in any gaps in your wardrobe and stay within your budget. My outfits were exactly what I wanted … and will be invaluable additions to my summer wardrobe, which needed a refresher anyway. In the summer, I live in dresses because they look polished with a minimum of fuss — and these will be perfect for everything from a client meeting to a summer party to running after my twins.
If you ever need help putting together an outfit for a special occasion — or just everyday life — I highly recommend you talk to Maureen. Sometimes an “outsider” point of view is all you need to put that amazing twist on an outfit you already have. Fashion miracles can happen over email, Skype and photo texting! I heart Wardrobe Wonders, and I know you will, too.
Full disclosure — I do not accept advertising, and this is not a sponsored post. I just happen to adore Maureen and wanted to spread the word!
