 Decoration can be life-enhancing.  It can make dinner parties more fun, kids happier, relaxing easier, talks more intimate, guests at ease.  And to think decorating is often considered frivolous.

My copy of Deborah’s new book, The Perfectly Imperfect Home, arrived yesterday — thank you, Amazon! — and I’m already in love.  Her advice is spot-on and the illustrations are beyond charming.

    Such a great quote and the best part of decorating is that it can be done at any price point - limited budget or the skies the limit. I think some people definitely have the misconception that decorating is frivolous. This one is also on my reading list.
