“word to the wise” wednesday: jeffrey bilhuber

I’m not a fan of change.  Change for change’s sake has no value.  Evolution, however, is wonderful — it’s natural — and that confidence comes through work and experience.  I’m fearless in that sense.  There’s a lot of emotion in the air right now.  In any time of change, we retreat to the comfort of the familiar. … I think a lot of people would like to have their confidence restored right now, and the way we do that is to create a sense of comfort and familiarity.

Jeffrey Bilhuber (speaking about his new book, The Way Home, to Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, November 2011)

I dig the contrast banding on the chairs! Hey did you make your reservations for NYC? Where should I stay? It seems weird that we don't have info yet

Ah, change. Not the easiest of transitions but certainly makes you a stronger person.

That room makes me think: shabby chic, meets modern. I think I may like it!
