I love this photograph, the color of the room is so rich and the textures are so inviting. I would not be brave enough to go so dark but I think it is stunning. I just read my newest issue of AD and I could not help but think of Margaret Russell's talk about getting the call that Elizabeth Taylor had passed. I first read Gore Vidal in 8th grade. "Lincoln" was laying on my mother's sitting room table. I fell completely in love with Lincoln, Vidal, and progressive republicanism (where is that today, by the way?). That wasn't the last thing I borrowed from my mom; her fabulous taste wasn't limited to literature. Love the quotation, Traci.
