“word to the wise” wednesday: michael herold

It’s so important that your home reflect who you are and what you love.  Don’t fake it!  You should surround yourself with things that have meaning to you.  I’m not a fan of “meaningless.”

Michael Herold (House Beautiful, June 2012)

I need to add some meaningful sculpture to my life!   For me, I don’t mean bronzed twin baby shoes … but I have seen some precious cast sculptures of baby feet.

Do you have sculpture in your home?

Maybe this is why I am so unhappy in this rental. We can do nothing with it/to it and the fiancé isn't keen on getting rid of the bachelor furniture and, frankly, neither am I since we're in such a transient place. It's a bit depressing.

Sculptures are great! I always worry about the kids knocking them over....for now I guess I will have to settle for sculptures of the lego castle variety! HA!

No sculpture, but we just added our first originals into our home - the start of our collection I suppose. Although my SIL is a talented artist and my husband has a few of her pieces - we just don't have them hung in our home yet.

that sculpture is exquisite! I found you via searching for CR Laine and noticed you pined their chair during the hp 2012 spring...lucky you that you were a trend spotter! I love your blog and so happy I've found it. I'm your newest follower!
