friday’s find: lucite easel

Traci Zeller Designs Brass Art Easel VignetteYears ago, I purchased this brass easel to display a favorite Jane Booth painting. I simply cannot create an interior without artwork and — in a room with very little wall space, like my wine room — an easel is the perfect way to create a tabletop display. Unfortunately for the many people who have inquired after seeing this photo, that particular easel was long ago discontinued … and I’ve been unable to find a similar replacement ever since. To make matters worse? My easel also came with a very affordable price tag — which left more money to spend on the art!

Wisteria Lucite Easel T12052_02But guess what I spotted. Wisteria is now carrying an acrylic easel! If there’s anything I love as much as brass, it’s most definitely lucite. Lucite works in both traditional and contemporary interiors … and it won’t compete with the artwork.   Best of all? The easel comes with Wisteria’s affordable price tag.

The only question in my mind is — how many should I buy?

RH Metal Artists EaselRestoration Hardware carries a very similar easel in oil-rubbed bronze and polished nickel. Too bad they left out brass, huh. But I love mixing metals … which makes these easels a fantastic option. Thanks to super-savvy blog reader Tonya for sharing this info!

Hey, Traci - Thanks for this post. Love the lucite. You may also want to check out a similar easel (oil rubbed bronze) at Restoration Hardware. I found it quite by accident while shopping for little Christmas lights. xo

That was a great find, Traci and I love the lucite, but I must admit your brass easel and painting are amazing, not to mention the Hermes tray! Happy weekend ~
