breaking it down

I can hardly believe that the Traditional Home showhouse at Adamsleigh has drawn to a close.  Lisa and I are as busy as ever between shipping products back to the generous vendors who lent them and schlepping the rest back to Charlotte.  Yes, “schlepping” is a highly technical, designer-y term.  

Lisa and I are absolutely blown away and completely humbled by the kind words and warm reception of our work.  Thank you!  If you missed Adamsleigh in person, be sure to check out Traditional Home’s “Adamsleigh” Pinterest board.  It features gorgeous shots taken by John Bessler and Peter Rymwid, two incredible photographers that Traditional Home brought in from New York.

Of course, we must thank the unbelievably devoted members of the Junior League of Greensboro and the team at Traditional Home.  From securing sponsors to ensuring that we had the maximum amount of time to install our rooms to every big or little thing in between, everyone went above and beyond to make this showhouse a fantastic experience for both designers and visitors.  What a privilege!

Most importantly, we couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful (and patient) clients and our wonderful (and patient) families.  I would say “Merci Beaucoup” but my little punks buddies would turn up their noses at my poor French accent.  Do not even get me started on how Twin A now pronounces “Florida.”
