It’s been a while since my last Studio Saturday update, and unfortunately it’s because I don’t have a lot to report. Lisa Mende and I have both been busy, busy, busy — which has left little time for studio organization and decorating. On the positive side, some of our earlier orders are starting to roll in.
This gorgeous Lorts lamp table is winging its way to us now, along with some fantastic backless bar stools upholstered in a shimmery linen. Yum!! Most furniture will be available by special order only, but we are really thrilled to have pieces we can sell off the floor. Of course, we are also at the mercy of some back orders and/or long lead times. It’s the bane of a designer’s existence! But as I preach to my clients, it is worth waiting for what you want.
One of the reasons I love Thibaut so much is that they carry good stock on almost all of their fabrics and wallpapers. Hello, designing on a deadline! Can you guess which colorway of their Rinca fabric will be appearing in the studio? Now I just need to figure out exactly how we are going to hang our window treatments. Between the wall of glass windows fronting the studio and our drop ceiling … it’s a good thing I’ve got a team of experts on speed dial!
We are especially excited to welcome some new artists to the studio, including Harrison Blackford. You can read more about her on Lisa’s blog today. I’m crazy for this 36″x48″ piece entitled “Sweet World.”
Of course, I have Traci Zeller Home candles for sale … and a brand-new shipment of my Traci Zeller for Design Accents pillows.
Give us a buzz if you’d like to stop in. Our summer hours may be a touch irregular, but we can’t wait to welcome you inside! Remember we’ll be hosting a Grand Opening Party in September, so stay tuned for more information on that.
Hey, maybe I did have a lot to share after all! What’s been keeping you busy?
